Next Home’s latest flagship store at Fosse Park West in Leicester marks a significant return to brick-and-mortar retail, and ISI Global was invited to help shape this milestone with an innovative digital experience.
We created a world-first interactive digital display for their home diffuser range, offering a unique, immersive way for customers to engage with the brand and learn about their fragrance products.
The background
To bring this vision to life, ISI Global collaborated closely with Next Home, leveraging our expertise in digital experiences and customer engagement. Our objective was to develop a solution that would seamlessly integrate physical and digital elements, allowing customers to enjoy both the immediate sensory appeal of the diffusers and the rich storytelling potential of digital content.
Implementation
Each fragrance in the home diffuser range is embedded with an RFID chip, activating specific content when placed on an illuminated hotspot. As customers pick up a diffuser and set it in the designated area, a large portrait LED screen displays information about the selected product, such as scent profiles, key ingredients, and complementary fragrances, enhancing the sensory experience with detailed, engaging content.
The illuminated presentation area and the dynamic digital screen work together to create an eye-catching focal point within the store, drawing customers in and encouraging them to engage with the diffuser products in a more meaningful way.
Through this RFID interaction, customers can move beyond simply sampling scents to learning about the creation and inspiration behind each fragrance. This interactive element not only boosts customer engagement but also positions Next as a thought leader in delivering an elevated fragrance experience. Our in-house team managed every aspect of the project, from initial concept design and digital asset creation to hardware integration, installation, and in-store testing, ensuring a seamless and high-quality execution.
Conclusion
The interactive diffuser display for Next Home exemplifies how digital experience can transform traditional in-store engagement. By combining sensory interaction with technology-driven storytelling, ISI Global has helped Next introduce a new level of digital innovation to brick-and-mortar retail, enhancing the customer journey and setting a new standard for interactive product displays in home fragrance.
